A few days ago our team returned from the Arab Emirates and the news did not take long to arrive=)
Today the Golf R MK7 set a new world record on a stock turbo (Stage 2 modification level) in the 1/4 mile (402m) run.
The competition took place at Yas Marina Circuit located in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates).
The final time was 11.21s with a speed of 194km/h
I anticipate the question about power, it was about 415whp (at the wheels). The turbo is stock without modifications.
PS the average Golf R MK7 St2 runs about 12.6-12.9s in the 1/4 mile
