Golf R MK7 Etuners Stage 2 new world record at 1/4 mile 11.214s!
Etuners.AE(United Arab Emirates) and Subzero developed a very fast Golf 7R, based on the standard factory engine and turbo.
As of December 9, 2016, it became the fastest Golf 7R in the world with a standard factory IS38 turbo at Yas Marina Dragstrip in Abu Dhabi, achieving 11.21 seconds in the 1/4 mile (402m) discipline.
The car uses the Etuners Stage 2+ setup made on the Dyno Stand in Dubai, specifically for this car and its tasks! (to meet local climate conditions).
To achieve the best result for this setup, torque limiters were removed, shift points were optimized, clutch disc pressure was increased to avoid slipping, and the DSG transmission also has Etuners Stage 2 DSG remap software.
This setup also allows for optimal boost at launch (launch with boost), to help overcome the first 60 feet faster and show good times.
