Good day, today we would like to share our client's impressions of the DSG firmware on the AUDI TT-S, the text unchanged, the link to the source below:
The main reason for reprogramming from SLS Tuning software to E-tuners software was the desire to lower the launch RPM from 5400 to some reasonable level and to make the shifting faster. SLS in sport mode at full throttle still had a noticeable lag. Noticeable by the standards of fast robots, by the standards of regular automatic transmissions it shifted instantly.
I previously wrote a topic comparing the performance of the transmission in my TTS and the transmission in another TTS with stock firmware.

Now I see that partly in this report the unsatisfactory condition of the robot in the stock TTS is to blame.
Now during the firmware, I had the opportunity to compare on my specific car, under the same conditions, three different firmware versions. Stock, SLS Tuning, E-tuners.
As a result:
1. In D mode, the algorithms of the stock firmware and SLS are identical.
2. SLS when starting from a standstill works rougher than stock. Vibrations are more noticeable at the moment of transferring the foot from the brake to the gas or when simply releasing the brake while moving.
3. E-tuners starts as smoothly as stock or slightly smoother.
4. In D mode, E-tuners is more comfortable and predictable than stock and SLS, which are the same)) With very light throttle opening, the shift points are like stock, slightly more, and it starts to hold the gears a little longer. With a sharp press on the pedal, it downshifts earlier.
5. E-tuners shifts faster and smoother at any throttle position. At full throttle in D mode, it shifts at 6600.
6. E-tuners behaves more interestingly on descents, actively engine brakes and provides reserve under the pedal in a turn after the descent.
7. S mode. E-tuners is sportier than stock, very responsive) It holds RPMs higher. It downshifts very quickly. And it’s not as wild as SLS. With SLS in the city in sport mode, it’s impossible, the RPMs are always above 5500, hellish noise and roar, and it’s not to say that the shifts are fast.
8. E-tuners in S mode is faster and smoother than SLS.
9. In addition, E-tuners set the launch RPM at 4000, shifts in D mode — 6600, in S mode — 6900, in M mode, it also shifts up, but already at 7000. Kick-down in M mode — disabled.
