Friends, hello! Today we are telling you about our Volkswagen Passat B8 project with a Garett G25-660 turbo.
The car comes from the factory equipped with a two-liter Gen3 engine and an all-wheel-drive system with a DQ500 transmission. In stock, we have 220hp and 350nm on a considerable weight of the car — 1735kg. In addition, the car has been additionally soundproofed with several layers of automotive sound insulation and additional music has been installed. According to the owner, the curb weight of the car is 2020kg.
All measurements were taken with a passenger, the final weight is about 2200 kg!
For the Garett G25-660 turbo, the following modifications were needed:
✔️Forged pistons
✔️Forged connecting rods
✔️Cast adapter for turbo installation by Bryce_eng
✔️Full exhaust system
✔️Water-methanol system
✔️Cold air intake system
The car is tuned for 2 power modes via a boost controller.
After all modifications, we achieved the following power:
📈Etuners Custom St3 100ron ECU remap
🕹Etuners Custom DSG remap
First power mode
220hp -> 500hp (+280hp)
350nm -> 611nm (+261nm)
Maximum mode with the water-methanol system
220hp -> 579hp (+359hp)
350nm -> 702nm (+352nm)
The measurements on Dragy were as follows:
